Live Internet performance
The face's muscles are wired directly to the Internet, allowing remote users control over Elsenaar's facial expressions. Piece has been performed for a simultaneous and live audience on two continents: Europe; Delft, Groningen and North America; Toronto. The piece was performed a second time for students at Brown University, Providence US and Frank Mohr Institute, Groningen, Netherlands.
Facial users got direct feedback on their compositions by means of a dedicated ISDN video conference link. Second enactment used a webcam setup.
